Fourteen-year-old Rachael, her father, Norman, and mother, Ingrid are a close but eccentric family living in the rural community of Sandy Bottom. Ingrid and Rachael are gifted classical musicians who feel out of place with the “small-minded” people of the community. With the help of good friends and each other, they come to understand that belonging to a community, like good music, comes from the heart.
