We are getting very close to packing shoeboxes and sending them on their way.  Our shoebox packing party will be on  Monday, November 5th from 5:00 p.m. until we finish.  Last year we were finished in under three hours because so many of you helped.  National collection week is November 12th-16th.  If you have never participated in packing shoeboxes, we invite you to come.  Please consider being part of this important love mission.

We are anticipating packing around three hundred boxes.  The shipping cost per box is $9.00.  We have $1,784.00 so far.  We are still in need of about $900.00 more dollars.  For the months of October and November we are asking for help with shipping costs.

Of course, if you still want to bring gifts for the boxes, they will be welcome and appreciated.  The tub will still be on the table.  Please designate your contribution to the shipping costs on the envelope to "Christmas Shoeboxes."

You may want to write a letter and include a photo of yourself to place in a shoebox on "Packing Day."

"One thing in the box I won't forget was a picture of a girl and her letter:  Heather Roberts from Enon, Ohio.  We started writing letters and to this day, nearly 20 years later, we're friends." - Nanor, Middle East

"The most important thing you can send with a box is prayer."  - Franklin Graham, President of Samaritan's Purse
